Judge Smith is hiring after Jan 1.
Does anyone know what the general timeline is for NY state court of appeals judges? Thanks!
Graffeo is not hiring (career clerks). Obviously Kaye is not hiring (retiring -- new Chief Judge will be appointed in the coming months). Smith, as noted above, is hiring after Jan. 1. Read is looking for one clerk now, from what I understand. Pigott has at least two, and possibly three, long-term clerks, but you may want to call chambers. Jones has at least two long-term clerks. I don't know what Ciparick's hiring situation is. There is no set plan for COA hiring, and there are many long-term clerks. From what I understand, the only one who hires three term clerks every time is Smith.
