Judge Paul Huck (S.D. Fla.) is done hiring clerks for 2009-2010, and has started hiring for 2010-2011.
Hurley is also done.

Anyone know how much clerks straight out of law school get paid in the Southern District of Florida?
Anyone know which Southern District judges hire for only one year, rather than two year terms? A lot seem to require two years.
my understanding is that altonaga, huck, moreno, moore, gold, jordan, hoeveler, moreno & king all hire for one year terms.
Altonega (SD Fla) is interviewing for two one-year positions in 2010 between September 11 and September 19

Waiting on Zloch post interview. I think he may be deciding whether to take senior status, and thus, how many clerks to hire. At least that is the impression that I have.

Question from a current district court clerk in a northern state with little knowledge of Florida judges on the Middle District of Florida -- the only M.D. of FL judge mentioned below in Orlando that anyone mentioned was Fawsett. Do most of the d. ct. judges in Orlando have career clerks? If not, when do they hire for 2010 (when I roll off my current two year d. ct. clerkship and may need to move to Orlando)?
