Van Bokkelen doesn't have an OSCAR ad up, but I bet he'll be looking at applications. He'd be a great judge to work for, and, for the geographically challenged, Hammond borders Chicago.
I received an email from Judge Barker's secretary which stated:
***
Judge Barker has asked me to inform all the applicants for a clerkship in her chambers that she has closed the selection process for the 2009-11 clerkship. Judge Barker will not interview applicants this year.
Judge Barker regrets any inconvenience this may cause you, and she wishes for you a smooth clerkship search and successful placement.
***
Not sure if this means she decided not to hire or what.
I interviewed with Moody Friday morning, was told he'd be deciding by Monday morning (yesterday). I believe he interviewed about 10 candidates late last week.
I was told I'd hear either way, but OSCASR now lists Moody's position as "filled," so I guess that means it ain't me - maybe a nice little rejection letter is coming via snail mail.

According to my classmates, Hamilton started calling today.
Anyone heard from Barker?
Barker is done.

Moody will start calling next week per a call to chambers (d. ct. judge in Hammond)
Received an e-mail from Chief Judge Miller's chambers in South Bend
Springmann is done.
Per call this morning to Judge Moody's chambers he has NOT decided to start making general calls this week to set interviews.
His clerk says that they may set a few interviews for later this week, but the Judge hasn't made that decision yet.
I can confirm Springmann is done--she canceled all interviews this week and notified people she had offered callbacks to.
Hamilton is officially finished hiring (just got the e-mail).
Van Bokkelen has no openings (2 career clerks, 1 clerk who just started a 2 year appointment).
Is Chief Judge Miller done hiring?
9:01 - Judge Moody called a classmate of mine yesterday afternoon to set up an interview for either Thursday or Friday.
2:38 - Are you sure? I communicated with one of Van Bokkelen's clerks the other day, and he encouraged me to submit an application.
Yeah, 2:38 is wrong. Nobody just started working for VB.
Where did Hamilton hire from?
Miller hired a Notre Dame 3L
Has Moody hired?
