Murphy, the new E.D. Mich judge, has interviewed 4 people for 2 spots hiring immediately. He will not be making decisions until mid August. No word on 09-10.
Steeh is not hiring a clerk for another year
Freidman is not hiring for a 2009 position
Judge Robert Jonker in the Western District of Michigan was accepting OSCAR applications for exactly one day - Sept. 3. And the position was listed as filled as of 8 am EST on Sept. 4. Honestly, why did he even bother going through the motions?
Bell of the W.D. Mich. has apparently withdrawn his clerkship position.
Ludington, ED MI, has made at least one call for an interview.
Got calls from Cleland and Cohn, E.D. MI. Both came in close to noon.
Got a call from Lawson right after noon.
I got an email from Magistrate Judge Majzoub on Sept. 5 and set up an interview for the end of the month.
Has anyone heard anything from Judge Quist in the Western District?

I'm waiting on Murphy and Quist, both of whom said they would make decisions by the end of the month.

9:53 - I interviewed with Murphy. He said he was going to interview about 6 people and make a decision by the end of the month.
