'08 Grad. Received a response from Judge (G.) Miller re setting up an interview in the next couple of weeks. I assume this means he is actively looking for 09-10.
Congratulations on the offer from Judge Miller. Do you know whether he plans on hiring two clerks for 2009-2010? He still has a clerkship listed on OSCAR.
My impression was that he was looking for two. I'm not completely sure but his current clerks started at the same time so I would think that would continue.
My general impression is that the CFC is less competitive than district courts in most large cities (NY, LA, DC, SF, Chicago, etc.), but comparable to district courts outside of those cities. A clerkship on the CFC will certainly be more valuable for those attorneys practicing in one of the areas over which the court has jurisdiction (e.g., gov contracts, takings, military/civilian pay, tax, etc.). I would like to hear about the background of some of the CFC clerkship applicants (e.g., school, GPA, journal, work experience, etc.).
Announcement on the court's website said Hewitt was hiring. Applied but haven't heard anything. Application window was 4/6/09 - 4/17/09. Anyone know if this position has been filled?

'08 grad also. Wheeler said he has just started hiring for 09-10, setting up interviews.
Wheeler is finished for 09-10.
G. Miller has hired at least one for 09-10 (namely me)

Anyone else hearing back from any other judges on Federal Claims?
Judge Bush is no longer hiring.
Allegra and Firestone have set up interviews.
Any word on Braden?
I received an e-mail from Braden the other day.
Judge Block called on Friday and started interviewing today.
How does the Court of Federal Claims compare in prestige and competitiveness to other district courts?

Braden is done. Sent letters on Thursday.

interesting re braden. interviewed w/ her yesterday and she said she's still got one more to interview on monday.
Bruggink is calling.
C. Miller has apparently been out of town all of September, but my classmate was interviewed by her clerks.
Golkiewicz? Anyone know if C. Miller has taken any steps beyond her clerks interviewinig?
I interviewed with her clerks in mid Sept but haven't heard anything else.
Does anyone know if Bruggink hired? Oscar says he is still accepting applications. What about C. Miller?
Bruggink and Miller both hired. Oscar is usually not very up-to-date.

I too applied for the position with Judge Hewitt, and have not heard anything. Let me know if you get any response on your end.
