This blog was a WONDERFUL resource for me last year when I was applying for clerkships. It took away a lot of the guess work. Thanks so much for creating it!

We can take credit neither for creating this blog nor for making it useful. The credit for the former goes to Katherine McDaniel, and the credit for the latter goes to you, our readers and commenters.

Good luck to everyone this year.

Dylan, I get some stupid "do you want to display nonsecure images" message every time I open a thread that has your avatar in it. It makes the site annoying & slow to navigate... It might be my fault for having a TTT computer & TTT computer skills, but I figured I'd let you know.

5/14, I just got the same message, I'll look into this and try to remedy. Thanks for the heads-up.

5/14, just made a change that hopefully fixed the problem. Let me know though if it still persists. Thanks again, and good luck this year.

Thanks. I no longer get that message. My cycle is long over (I'm clerking in the Fall), but I still love to check out this site to see who is hiring and when. It's a great resource and time killer at work.

Is there any way to put the list of courts on the right-hand side of the page into drop down menus? So, for example, it might stay "Circuit Courts" with a little carrot next to it, but would not necessarily list the courts until the user clicked on the carrot (or similar icon)?

I ask because it takes forever to scroll up and down to find particular courts with all the district and state courts open at once. You might be able to get away with leaving the federal circuit court list open by default, but can we minimize the state and district courts? (No offense to anyone clerking or looking to clerk at the state level.)

Agree that the current format is unweildy, and will see if we can change it. Good luck this year.

Thanks for that great suggestion. Dylan's right: We'll try to fix it soon. Thanks and good luck!

Thanks for your receptiveness to my suggestion, Dylan and Mani. Also, in my earlier post I forgot to mention that I appreciate all your work in maintaining this blog.

6/16, Np, that's what we're here for.

I tinkered around with the category options, but it doesn't look like Blogger offers a dropdown menu format yet. Let us know if you hear differently though, and thanks again.

Any chance you could start a thread for applicants to discuss general issues relating to the application process?

Dylan Drummond said...

7/10, sounds like a great idea, we'll try to get one up and running.

Dylan Drummond said...

7/10, ask and ye shall receive . Thanks again for the great tip.

7/10 here -- thanks for being so responsive!

Would you be interested in starting a thread for current clerks to discuss post-clerkship career options? I'd be interested to hear what people in similar situations are thinking and what types of jobs they are taking. Thanks!

8/6/08, Great idea, and my apologies for the delay in getting back with you.

The post-clerkship forum can be found here.

Due to a programming error, none of the postings on the Massachusetts state page are displayed.

3/5,

I just pulled up the Mass. state court page and see 80 comments. Am I looking at the wrong thing? Can you try to access it again and see if the problem persists? Many thx.
