Smith is interviewing non-plan applicants.

Anonymous said...

Smith is already interviewing? So is he done taking graduate applications then?

Anonymous said...

Smith has made one hire.

Anonymous said...

Any idea from where, or how many other spots he has available?

Anonymous said...

I've heard that Smith is already finished for '09. So I guess he hired four already.

Anonymous said...

Law Clerk Addict only shows one hire for Smith so far: a graduate from Ave Maria. Anyone know anything more on Smith?

Anonymous said...

Garth has hired one from Harvard for 2009-2010

Anonymous said...

Smith is definitely done.

Anonymous said...

Judge Fuentes has hired at least 3 for 09-10.

Anonymous said...

Has Judge Sloviter hired or interviewed for 2009-2010?

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know how many spots Chagares has left?

Anonymous said...

Is Rendell reviewing applications, interviewing, or hiring?

Anonymous said...

Stapleton is scheduling interviews.

Anonymous said...

Cowen is interviewing.

Anonymous said...

I called Judge Smith's chambers and he is definitely done hiring all clerks for 2009-2010.

Anonymous said...

Called Judge Weis's chambers. His clerkship positions have been filled.

Anonymous said...

I think McKee is done for '09-'10.

Anonymous said...

Judge Chagares has called grads.

Anonymous said...

Rumor has it that Rendell is done.

Anonymous said...

Not just a rumor... it says she's filled on OSCAR.

Anonymous said...

Roth hired one HLS (as per HLS internal site.)

Anonymous said...

Ambro hired one HLS.

Anonymous said...

As per OSCAR, Fuentes is doen for 09-10

Anonymous said...

Sloviter has started hiring for 2009-2010. She has hired at least one clerk.

Anonymous said...

garth is finished for 2009 and not looking for 2010 yet (according to a nicely worded rejection letter)

Anonymous said...

Greenberg has hired two (Rutgers, NYU) and is done.

Anonymous said...

Chagares hired another Columbia grad.

Anonymous said...

Greenberg hired a Brooklyn grad for 09-10, not sure if that is in addition to the two mentioned above, or if the above info is incorrect.

Anyone know if Hardiman has begun reviewing graduate application yet?

Anonymous said...

I sent an app to Hardiman in early June; he sent back a form letter letting me know he reviews them in September, and that he'll keep it on file.

Anonymous said...

I sent a package in the regular mail to him in late June but did not receive any form letter. Did you send yours in the mail or on OSCAR?

Anonymous said...

Any word on whether Barry has filled all positions?

Anonymous said...

barry has hired one from boston college

Anonymous said...

McKee is definitively done for 2009

Anonymous said...

Chagares no longer has a vacancy open on OSCAR

Anonymous said...

Sloviter is done

Anonymous said...

From which law schools were Judge Sloviter's hires?

Anonymous said...

Has Scirica hired yet?

Anonymous said...

Email from Aldisert for phone interview with his clerks. I am still in shock.

Any news about Fisher?

Anonymous said...

Anyone know if Jordan gives exploding offers?

Anonymous said...

Aldisert interview offer via email, sent right at noon.

Anonymous said...

Fisher has been making calls.

Anonymous said...

Hardiman called. Early interviews, but no exploding offers.

Anonymous said...

Does Fisher make exploding offers?

Anonymous said...

Ambro is done for 2009-2010

Anonymous said...

Anyone heard anything about Hardiman?

Anonymous said...

(sorry, i posted the above--curious whether hardiman is nice to work for; i know he is making calls)

Anonymous said...

Would judges hire now for 2011, or is that against the hiring plan in some way?

Anonymous said...

Hiring 3Ls or alums for 2010 or 2011 would not be against the hiring plan. The plan was instituted, in large part, to end the practice of poaching promising students earlier and earlier -- before they were even finished with their 2nd year of law school. Hiring current 3Ls for later years does nothing to offend the principle behind the plan.

Anonymous said...

Did any 3Ls get calls from Scirica?

hardiman?

Anonymous said...

scirica apparently took two from penn.

Anonymous said...

Any tips for interviews with Aldisert? Please! I don't want to scare the (verrry) senior judge away. Thanks!

Anonymous said...

Anyone have definitive confirmation that Chagares is done, other than the OSCAR vacancy's disappearance?

Anonymous said...

Hardiman is done

Anonymous said...

As for Chagares, it's not posted on OSCAR or Law Clerk Addict, but I am 100% sure that he hired his third clerk at the beginning of the summer.

Anonymous said...

Where did Hardiman hire from?

Anonymous said...

Per call to chambers, Judge Van Antwerpen has already hired his clerks for the 2009-10 term.

Anonymous said...

Anyone heard if Aldisert hired? I know he finished interviews yesterday.

Anonymous said...

No word one way or another from Aldisert yet.

Anonymous said...

Same here re. Aldisert. Sheesh, how many did he interview?!

Anonymous said...

Same thing here for Aldisert. Was expecting a call one way or another yesterday, but nothing yet.

Anonymous said...

Rejection letter from Jordan, who is done. Nice of him to send actual letters.

Anonymous said...

Aldisert just sent out a notification. He went with one Harvard and one U.C.-Davis.

Anonymous said...

I'm devastated about Aldisert.

Anonymous said...

5:46, fret not! Obviously, it wasn't meant to be, and if you got to the interview stage, you must be a pretty great candidate. I'm disappointed too, but I'm sure there is something else equally great out there for you. Good luck!

According to Lawclerkaddict, Hardiman hired someone from Virginia (doesn't say 3L or grad) and a 3L from Northwestern

http://lawclerkaddict2009.blogspot.com/2008/03/3d-circuit.html

Anonymous said...

10:07--Thanks for the optimism, but unfortunately the other appellate judges I interviewed with have already hired. The Aldisert rejection was particularly awful, because it was one of the best interviews I've ever had. It would have been amazing.

Anonymous said...

Hardiman's Virginia hire is a current D. Ct. clerk.

Anonymous said...

Roth is done, per a rejection letter I received yesterday

Anonymous said...

McKee is done for 2010 as well.

Anonymous said...

Any word from Rendell for 2010-2011?

Anonymous said...

Judge Smith hired a Georgetown District court clerk for 2010-2011.

Anonymous said...

Judge McKee has hired at least one law clerk for 2011.

Anonymous said...

I hear Mckee is full for 2010 and 2011.

Anonymous said...

For those who don't know, Law Clerk Addict is covering the 2010-11 cycle, and has a notifications section as well as a section devoted to the Third Circuit.
